Facebook on Monday announced it will remove content containing the phrase “stop the steal” from its services in the lead-up to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

Facebook had previously removed a “Stop the Steal” group from its services in November and has removed various other related groups and pages since then, but the company said it was taking this additional step following the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last week.

 

“With continued attempts to organize events against the outcome of the U.S. presidential election that can lead to violence, and use of the term by those involved in Wednesday’s violence in D.C., we’re taking this additional step in the lead up to the inauguration,” the company said in a blog post.

Facebook said it plans to treat the next two weeks as a major civic event and stop any misinformation or content that could incite further violence.

The company said it plans to livestream the inauguration in the Facebook News portion of its app and website. After the inauguration, it will place labels on posts attempting to delegitimize the election that say Biden is the sitting U.S. president.

The company said it will also maintain its pause on political ads in the U.S.

The announcements come after Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg earlier on Monday said that the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol had not “largely” been organized on the social media company’s services. Last week, Facebook blocked Trump from posting for at least the remainder of his term.

I received no warning no confirmation of what I was accused of nothing just a notice that my entire account had been removed by FB...

I was automatically removed as Moderator of the Jeep Badge of Honors Page.

I was removed from FB as in my time line Poof...

This also resulted in Truth Seekers Page also being completely removed.

Also I am un able to access the American Jeeper Facebook group nothing.

They have not shown me what was the related issue nothing Just able to post once then next nothing...

I posted this on my jeep page...:)

Let me say this...I ran a VPN after I had already deleted the cache of my web browser and removal of all of My Previous FB accounts and log in information...

Then I rebooted...

I know that sounds very odd...

Then I turned on My Norton VPN and I also started Nord they conflicted and I was off line so I know they work...

I got back on line and running Nord with US IP signed up and instantly it banned my account even before I was logged in at all...

I removed all that information,

I literally had to call my sister in another state and get her to create and account

I also know they had banned all my account emails used in the past- even news ones- My Birth name is Banned forever...

SO if I ever get popped again... Im done with FB and the Censor Po POs...

I hope anyone reading this will at least save the webaddress and the following email because so help me god if FB removes me one more time Im NOT going through all this crap again to show suppoprt for a fake Media company Banning free speech of the members who keep it up and running even if its just my 40 folks there now... I seriously am over FB...
